  • Simply-To-Go: On the run? Still want to enjoy a meal? For your convenience we offer La Mesa Dining commuters the option of a take-out meal. You have a choice of one entrée, a side, and a drink. Swipe a meal and never stress about missing a class again! Simply-To-Go has you covered! 
  • Simple Servings: Simple Servings is Sodexo's solution to proactively address the growing number of students who are arriving on college campuses with food allergies, celiac disease and non-celiac gluten intolerance.It offers ready-to-be-enjoyed fresh and flavorful meals prepared without ingredients that account for 90% of all food-allergy reactions: milk, eggs, wheat, soy,shellfish, peanuts and tree nuts. 
  • Classics: Sometimes nothing satisfies like a home-style meal, featuring classic dishes like meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and baked lasagna. Classics dishes up all of these traditional favorites with an updated, contemporary flavor. 
  • Pizza*rette: The best pizza around made hot and fresh with your favorite toppings, accompanied by a host of specialty bars, top your own dishes cooked just for you. Each bar meal, such as pretzel, funnel cakes, hot dogs, nacho is created by you, and served straight. 
  • The Grille: What could be better than the classic tastes of juicy charbroiled cheeseburgers and like-mom-makes grilled cheese sandwiches? Whatever your favorite grill item, you'll always find it hot and freshly made at The Grille. 
  • Sub, Sandwich & Wrap: Featuring made-to-order stuffed subs or famous deli wraps, constructed from fresh lean meats, cheeses, just baked rolls, and fresh toppings like tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, onions, pickles, olives, and more, you can have your sandwich prepared especially for you, as you watch! 
  • Soup 'n' Salad: Here's an exciting array of delectable entrée salads created by our expert culinarians and a crisp palette of greens, crispy vegetables and great toppings. Add a bowl of our homestyle soups and it's a satisfying, healthy meal. 
  • Garden Toss: This is a salad lover's showcase, turning simple salads into sizzling creations. All of our salads are cut, chopped and tossed every day to provide freshness. Delectable choices include sizzling fajita salad, Southwest chicken salad, sesame encrusted mahi-mahi salad, tomato basil & mozzarella, or tri-color tortellini with pesto. 
  • Beverages: Of course, no meal is complete without the right beverage, and our Beverage Bar offers a wide variety of beverages to meet the preferences and needs of our students
  • Desserts: Offering a tempting selection of sweets, including homemade cakes, cookies, pies and other treats, Desserts offers the perfect ending to your satisfying meal.

Simple Servings Allergy Zone

All foods offered at the Simple Serving station are naturally free of milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts and gluten. Straightforward preparation techniques assure transparency of ingredients, and help student prepare to be responsible for their own shopping and cooking in future.  The lunch and dinner menu change daily and include varied protein options: fish, beef, pork, chicken and turkey.  All side dishes are vegan, containing no milk, eggs, or meat products.

Gluten Free Information

Although we do not operate a gluten-free kitchen, we do offer many menu items that are naturally free from gluten. These items include many salad bar offerings, fresh whole fruit, and most of our cooked vegetables.  We have 3 gluten free cereal options as well as the Simple Servings Allergy program.  We offer Udi's gluten free pastries and desserts as well.  Although we attempt to keep items as gluten free as possible, we cannot claim that we have prevented all possibilities of cross-contamination.

If you have a medical need for a gluten-free diet, we will make additional accommodations for you.  For example, your burger can be prepared in a separate pan, rather than on the main grill.  With prior planning, we can make modifications in certain dishes, such as preparing a piece of fish without the breadcrumb topping.  We are also happy to provide you with foods from "back up" that have not been exposed to a self-serve environment, such as making you the salad of your choosing.  On the deli, we would be happy to provide your meats and cheeses from "back up" rather than those in the sandwich-making environment.  Many people making gluten-free choices may not need these precautions, but for those with celiac or other medical conditions, please contact General Manager- Chuck Bateman at (719)587-7861 to make arrangements.
